Charges have been filed against the driver of a car involved in an accident that happened in Wayne County back on September 23rd.
Following the accident on Garner Road in the town of Huron, Brett Shaffer is accused of giving police another person’s name in an attempt to prevent deputies from confirming he did not have a valid driver’s license. When arresting Shaffer, he was found to have a white rock-like substance on him, which was confirmed by the State Police Crime Lab as methamphetamine.
The 35-year-old Wolcott man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal impersonation. Shaffer was taken to Wayne County Jail and released on an appearance ticket for Huron Town Court.
