A Town of Arcadia woman is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop in the Town of Galen.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies arrested 24-year-old Hallie L. Ford after she was stopped for speeding—allegedly driving 72 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone. During the stop, deputies determined Ford was operating her vehicle while intoxicated.
She was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where she submitted to a chemical breath test. Her blood alcohol content was recorded at 0.15 percent, nearly twice the legal limit.
Ford was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with a BAC of 0.08% or higher, and Speeding. She was issued appearance tickets and released. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Galen Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
