A homeless man faces multiple charges following a one-car accident in Palmyra Friday night.
Police were called for the report of a car off the road on Leroy Road and when they arrived on scene, they detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the breath of 32-year-old Cody Wells. His eyes were said to be bloodshot and watery and deputies say he was also talking with a slurred speech. Wells was placed through standardized field sobriety tests and provided a breath sample, which yielded a 23 of 1% of Blood Alcohol Content.
Wells was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, operating without a license, aggravated unlicensed operation, moving from lane unsafely, and operating outside of an interlock restriction.
Wells was released on an appearance ticket for Palmyra Town Court.
