An early morning domestic incident in Steuben County resulted in a felony arrest.
A State Police investigation determined that 57-year-old Michael Grzelak allegedly damaged property inside the home in the town of Caton and made verbal threats during a dispute. The incident allegedly occurred in the presence of children. The victim and children left the home and met with the patrols nearby. Grzelak was charged with aggravated felony offense and criminal contempt, both felonies, along with misdemeanor charges of menacing, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal contempt.
Grzelak was brought to the Steuben County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
