A domestic violence complaint in the town of Lyons resulted in the arrest of a Wayne County woman.
Carla Galek, of Newark, is accused of driving to a home in Lyons where a domestic incident ensued. The 29-year-old was also found to have allegedly driven drunk from Newark to Lyons.
Galek was charged with driving while intoxicated and was brought to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing where she refused to submit to a chemical test.
Galek was held for CAP arraignment at the Wayne County Jail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
