The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Geneva man following an investigation into a domestic incident.
Deputies say 28-year-old Ivanerick Lugo, of Geneva, was arrested on Sunday and charged with stalking in the fourth degree.
Investigators allege that between 7 p.m. Saturday and noon on Sunday, Lugo repeatedly contacted the victim, making 67 phone calls and sending numerous messages from four different phone numbers, even attempting to reach the victim through Cash App.
Deputies say Lugo had been warned to stop contacting the victim, but sent another message after being told to cease communication.
Lugo was taken into custody and was released following his CAP arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
