A Steuben County man has been arrested for allegedly using an app on his phone to view and exchange almost 6,000 photos and videos of child sex abuse materials.
State Police opened an investigation into Nicholas Faulisi, of Corning, after receiving a tip last October from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that abusive material was uploaded to a mobile messaging app. A several-month investigation resulted in Faulisi’s arrest on felony charges of promoting the sexual performance of a child under the age of 17, promoting the obscene sexual performance of a child, and possession of sexual performance by a child.
Faulisi was being held at the Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment.
