A report made to the Auburn Police Department by Child Protective Services resulted in the arrest of 45-year-old Auburn man.
Information was obtained by Auburn Police that Richard Currier allegedly was in possession of a handgun despite having prior felony convictions. On October 29th, the handgun was seized from his Capitol Street residence. Later in the day, a traffic stop was made in the area of North Seward Avenue and Franklin Street.
Currier was then arrested for felony criminal possession of a weapon
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
