An Auburn man faces multiple felony charges following a State Police investigation into child exploitation.
Last July, troopers executed a search warrant at a home on Miller Road in Sennett, where they discovered multiple high-capacity rifle magazines and seized several electronic devices. A forensic analysis of those devices later uncovered child sexual abuse material.
As a result, 57-year-old Randy Foster was indicted in January. He has been charged with five counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and one count of promoting a sexual performance by a child.
Foster surrendered to State Police this week and was taken to Cayuga County Jail, where he awaits arraignment.
The investigation was conducted by SP Auburn Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Troop E Computer Crimes Unit, Troop E Forensic Investigation Unit, and SP Auburn Uniform Force.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
