The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Sterling man on a felony charge of criminal possession of a weapon as a previous conviction.
On May 9th, deputies were dispatched to Route 104A in Sterling for a report of a one-car accident where the occupants of the car were fighting with a knife. Upon investigation, deputies determined that Macklin Majeski had been involved in a domestic dispute where the 43-year-old menaced the other occupant of the car with a knife.
Majeski was also charged with menacing.
Majeski was placed into custody and arraigned at CAP, where a full stay-away order of protection was issued. Majeski was sent to jail in lieu of bail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
