SHARE NOW

A Cayuga County man is facing charges of criminal obstruction of breathing and menacing following the investigation into an incident that happened earlier this week.

On the evening of April 7th, a Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputy and State Trooper were dispatched to a home in the town of Sterling for a reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival, law enforcement located the victim hiding in the bushes outside of the home. She told police that her boyfriend, Daniel Huller, of Sterling, had choked her and struck her during an argument. Upon completion of the investigation, the deputy applied for an arrest warrant with the town of Sterling Court.

On Thursday, the 43-year-old Huller turned himself in at the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office. Following his arraignment, he was sent to Cayuga County Jail in lieu of bail.

A full stay-away Order of Protection was issued.
