Cayuga County Man Accused of Falsely Reporting a Crime

A Union Springs man was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office on a falsey reporting an incident charge.

Michael Flint’s arrest stems from an incident in February where he reported to a member of law enforcement an alleged crime that was later determined to be false and had never occurred.

The 24-year-old was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in Springport Town Court at the end of the month.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
