A Canandaigua woman was ticketed for failing to yield at a stop sign following a two-car accident at the intersection of North Road and County Road 28 in the town of Canandaigua.
Jennifer Omeara was driving an Impreza west on North Road when she failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and allegedly pulled out into the intersection of County Road 28. This caused her car to crash into a Chevrolet Cruz that was driving north.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, County Road 28 was reduced to one lane of traffic for approximately half an hour while the scene was cleared.
Canandaigua Fire and Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
