The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Canandaigua woman was arrested last week for violating an order of protection.
Deputies say 40-year-old Chuncey Ward was taken into custody on January 14 following a disturbance at Patty’s Lodge on Route 5 and 20. Investigation revealed that Ward had been at the residence of a protected party in violation of an existing order of protection.
Ward was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree and transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty
