Police arrested a Canandaigua woman Sunday on a warrant following a shoplifting investigation at the Canandaigua Walmart.
Sara Williams was taken into custody on Scottland Road in the city of Canandaigua. She was charged with petit larceny after allegedly passing all points of sale without rendering payment for $210.54 worth of meat.
Williams was brought to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment. She will return to Hopewell Town Court at a future date to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
