A Canandaigua woman has been arrested after police say she produced a fake Child Support payment receipt in the amount of $1,600 she claimed proved she had made a payment on another person’s behalf.
Samantha Standish allegedly made this payment to get a suspension cleared on the other person’s driver’s license. Investigators say the $1,600 payment had not been made and the person was tricked into believing it had.
Standish was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and placed in Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
