A motor vehicle accident at the intersection of North Main and North Streets in the city of Canandaigua resulted in the arrest of a Canandaigua woman.
While investigating the accident, Canandaigua Police determined that Laurie Cavan had been driving her car in an intoxicated condition.
Cavan was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and was released on an appearance ticket for Canandaigua City Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
