Canandaigua Teen Arrested for Endangering Child and Harassment

SHARE NOW

Ontario County deputies arrested 19-year-old Zoelin Streeter of Canandaigua for endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.

The arrest followed a complaint at the Super 8 Motel in the Town of Canandaigua. Law enforcement responded after a third party reported two individuals fighting and throwing items in a motel room. When deputies arrived, both parties were outside and initially refused to speak with officers.

Deputies say that while officers were present, Streeter sprinted toward the other individual and struck them repeatedly. The incident occurred in the direct presence of a child.

Streeter was taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail for centralized arraignment. She is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
