An employee of the Speedway store in the town of Canandaigua has been arrested after a complaint was made by management to police.
An investigation determined that while 23-year-old Sabrina Thompson was working her scheduled shift, she rang up items for herself without depositing money into the register. Thompson is accused of attempting to cover the lack of cash in the register by fraudulently returning items that were never sold in the store. Investigators say Thompson admitted to the incident and was charged with falsifying business records.
Thompson was brought to the Ontario County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
