A Canandaigua man was arrested Thursday for failing to verify his address as a Level Three sex offender.
46-year-old Joshua Tiffany was arrested for failing to follow New York State Sex Offender Registry guidelines. According to the Registry, Tiffany was convicted in 2008 of two counts of rape and criminal sexual act involving a minor. He was also convicted in 2001 of sexually abusing a four-year-old girl.
Tiffany was released on an appearance ticket for Canandaigua City Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
