A Canandaigua man is facing a stalking charge following an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they took a harassment complaint at their Ontario Street office on July 10. As a result of the investigation, Christopher Vanderwall Jr. was arrested on Monday and charged with fourth-degree stalking.
Vanderwall was taken to the Ontario County Jail, where he was held pending arraignment in CAP Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
