The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Canandaigua man for failing to comply with sex offender registry requirements.
Deputies say 36-year-old Burnette Gage was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon for failing to report a change of address within ten days, a second offense, and a Class D felony. He was arrested and transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he was held for arraignment.
Gage is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
