Canandaigua Man Charged with DWI After Multi-Car Crash in Ontario

SHARE NOW

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Canandaigua man following a motor vehicle crash in the Town of Ontario.

Authorities say Jose Colon-Roldan was traveling eastbound in the left lane on State Route 104 on October 24, when he struck another vehicle traveling in the right lane. The impact caused the second vehicle to drift off the roadway and come to rest on the front lawn of County Line Animal Hospital.

Colon-Roldan continued eastbound, and his vehicle overturned multiple times before crashing into the center guard rail. All parties involved were transported by ambulance to a hospital for evaluation.

Colon-Roldan was issued citations for moving from a lane unsafely and charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI. He is scheduled to appear in Ontario Town Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
