Canandaigua Man Charged with Criminal Mischief After Downtown Vandalism

SHARE NOW

A Canandaigua man has been charged in connection with property damage reported earlier this month involving two downtown businesses.

According to the City of Canandaigua Police Department, 23-year-old Michael Lesak was charged with two counts of Criminal Mischief.

The charges stem from a June 13 incident in which potted plants, tables, and chairs were damaged at separate downtown establishments. Following an investigation, police determined that Lesak was responsible for the vandalism.

Lesak is scheduled to appear in City of Canandaigua Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
