Canandaigua Man Arrested on Warrant, Cocaine Possession

A Canandaigua man was arrested by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office following a traffic stop on Saltonstall Street in the city of Canandaigua.

44-year-old Russell Carlson was found to have an active bench warrant for allegedly violating the terms of his pre-trial release. A further investigation showed that Carlson was allegedly in possession of crack cocaine at the time of the stop. Carlson was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment on the warrant and sent to jail in lieu of bail. He was additionally arraigned on the possession charge and on the eight citations he received from the traffic stop.

Carlson will return to Ontario County and Canandaigua City courts at a later date to answer his charges.
