A Canandaigua man is facing drug charges following an investigation by local law enforcement.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that 38-year-old Christopher Singleton was arrested on Wednesday and charged with second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. The arrest followed an investigation led by the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Division, with assistance from the Canandaigua Police Department. Investigators say cocaine was found in Singleton’s possession at the time of his arrest.
He was taken to the Ontario County Jail and was awaiting arraignment in CAP Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
