Canandaigua Man Arrested on Bench Warrant

A Canandaigua man was taken into custody on Monday afternoon following the execution of a bench warrant in the town of Canandaigua.

According to authorities, 37-year-old Michael Rivers was arrested at approximately 2:04 p.m. at the Go Car Wash located at 2586 State Route 332. Rivers was taken into custody on an active bench warrant issued by the City of Geneva Court for failing to appear in court regarding the original charges and subsequently violating the terms of his probation.

Following his arrest, Rivers was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
