A Canandaigua man has been arrested in connection with a burglary that took place earlier this year.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Andrew Murphy was taken into custody on July 11 following an investigation into a residential break-in that occurred in February 2025. Investigators say Murphy unlawfully entered a home and allegedly stole a PlayStation 5.
Murphy was charged with second-degree burglary and transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he was held in pre-arraignment detention.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
