Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Canandaigua man early Saturday morning following a car-deer accident in Hopewell.
Deputies say 24-year-old Kyle Johnston was involved in the crash on Freshour Road around 1:24 a.m. During the roadside investigation, it was determined that Johnston had been driving while intoxicated.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he was issued traffic tickets for DWI. Johnston is scheduled to appear in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
