Police arrested a Cananadaigua man following a reckless motorcycle incident on South Main Street in the city of Canandaigua.
42-year-old Joshua Chambery of Canandaigua was arrested following a reckless motorcycle incident on South Main Street. Officers observed Chambery operating the motorcycle dangerously and attempted to stop him on Phoenix Street. Instead of complying, Chambery allegedly fled at a high rate of speed.
Chambery was found shortly afterward after falling from his motorcycle while making a turn onto Leicester Street. An investigation revealed he was intoxicated at the time. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree, Reckless Driving, Operating Without an Interlock Device, and Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer.
Chambery was taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he awaits arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
