The investigation into a disturbance at a Jefferson Avenue address in Canandaigua resulted in the arrest of a 44-year-old Canandaigua man.
An investigation determined Demetrius Bronson allegedly had a physical altercation with another person who had an active refrain from Order of Protection in place. During the altercation, Broson is accused of taking the person’s cellphone from them as they attempted to call 911. Bronson was later located at a motel on County Road 50 and allegedly resisted arrest.
After being placed into custody, the 44-year-old was charged with criminal contempt, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.
Following his arraignment, Bronson was brought to the Onondaga County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
