Canandaigua Man Accused of Resisting During Warrant Arrest

A Canandaigua man was arrested Saturday on a bench warrant.

As Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to serve the warrant on Thomas Schwab for failing to appear in court to answer a harassment charge, the 40-year-old allegedly resisted arrest.

Schwab was charged with resisting arrest and was arraigned at CAP Court at the Ontario County Jail and released.

Schwab will appear in Canandaigua City Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
