The investigation into a domestic violence incident in the town of Brutus resulted in the arrest of a Brutus man.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, Joseph Hall had engaged in an argument with a woman while in the presence of two children under the age of two. During the argument, Hall allegedly began throwing drinking glasses into the wall, causing them to break in the area of the children. Hall also allegedly smashed a broom handle on the ground, which caused a piece to break off and go through the air almost striking one of the children.
Hall was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and was released on an appearance ticket for Brutus Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
