A 21-year-old woman from Bristol was arrested early Friday morning after a single-vehicle crash on State Route 64 South.
According to the Bristol Police Department, Molly Standish was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated at around 1 o’clock. Authorities say Standish was driving a 2024 Mitsubishi when she left the roadway and struck a tree.
Standish was not injured in the crash. Police report that she initially left the scene but returned shortly after with a sober companion. During the investigation, officers discovered a small bag containing a white powdery substance that field-tested positive for cocaine.
Standish is scheduled to appear in Bristol Town Court at a later date to face the charges.
The Bristol Fire Department and Canandaigua Emergency Squad also responded to the scene.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
