A Branchport woman was charged with petit larceny following the investigation into a theft complaint.
It is alleged that on May 7th, Angela Vazquez stole money from a village of Penn Yan resident while visiting them. Officers made contact with the 30-year-old three days later and she reportedly admitted to taking the money.
Following her arrest, Vazquez was released on an appearance ticket for Penn Yan Village Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
