The investigation into a physical domestic incident in the village of Penn Yan resulted in the arrest of a Branchport man.
During the incident, it is alleged that Preston Brown choked the victim, held them on the ground, and subjected them to unwanted sexual contact all in the presence of a child. The 38-year-old Brown was charged with sexual misconduct, unlawful imprisonment, criminal obstruction of breathing, endangering the welfare of a child, forcible touching, and harassment. One day later, Brown was arrested again for allegedly violating an order of protection that was put into place.
Brown was held at the Yates County Jail for arraignment.
Police say additional charges are pending.
