A Bloomfield man was arrested by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office on a criminal contempt charge at the Ontario County Jail.
The arrest of Miles Martin stems from the investigation into an alleged violation of a stay-away Order of Protection signed on Christmas Eve that was issued out of Hopewell Town Court. According to police, Martin allegedly made numerous attempts to contact the protected party.
Martin turned himself in at the Ontario County Jail and was being held in lieu of bail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
