Ontario County Deputies arrested 46-year-old Matthew Weitzel, of Bloomfield, early Monday morning for driving while impaired by drugs.
The arrest occurred at approximately 3:24 a.m. on Monday, following a report of a vehicle in a ditch at the intersection of US Route 20A and Buckelew Road in the Town of Bristol.
Authorities say their investigation determined that Weitzel was operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs. He was issued traffic citations and released.
Weitzel is scheduled to appear in Bristol Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
