Binghamton Man Accused of Breaking Into Seneca Falls Home

SHARE NOW

A Southern Tier man has been charged with felony criminal mischief after he allegedly broke into a Seneca Falls home and caused damage.

An investigation by Seneca Falls Police determined that 26-year-old Matthew Green of Binghamton had been involved in a dispute that led to him becoming angry. Green is accused of forcibly entering the home by kicking in the door. Once inside, a juvenile victim, frightened by Green’s actions, hid while Green proceeded further into the residence in an apparent attempt to confront its occupants. Green is also alleged to have caused damage to the tenant’s television and door.

In addition to the felony, Green was charged with trespass, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal mischief, all misdemeanors.

Green was released on an appearance ticket for Seneca Falls Town Court.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
