The investigation into a reported domestic violence incident in Yates County resulted in the arrest of a Benton man.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, it was determined that 32-year-old Devan Peek had allegedly subjected another person to unwanted physical contact while threatening to harm them in the presence of a child.
Peek was charged with harassment and endangering the welfare of a child and was sent to Yates County Jail to await CAP Court arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
