A Bellona man was arrested by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office out of Benton Town Court.
The warrant for Levi Lagger’s arrest stemmed from a domestic incident where the 44-year-old allegedly subjected another person to unwanted physical contact by slamming them to the ground. Lagger is also accused of taking a cell phone from the person preventing them from calling 911 for help.
Lagger was charged with criminal mischief and harassment and was being held at the Yates County Jail for CAP arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
