A Bath woman was charged with felony attempted assault following the investigation into a reported physical domestic incident in the Steuben County village.
When officers arrived at a residence on Ash Street just after midnight on August 29th, Samantha Thomas was allegedly found to be highly intoxicated and refused to cooperate in the investigation. As the investigation continued, the 37-year-old is accused of attempting to physically injure multiple deputies on scene. Thomas was eventually taken into custody and was additionally charged with misdemeanor obstruction of governmental administration.
Following her arraignment, Thomas was released on an appearance ticket for Bath Village Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
