A Bath man is facing drug charges after police say he was spotted possibly smoking drugs in Pulteney Square Park.
Police say they responded around 6:30 a.m. on August 8 after a 911 caller reported suspicious activity. Officers found 37-year-old James Blankenship, who matched the caller’s description.
An investigation turned up methamphetamine and a burnt glass pipe, police said. Blankenship was arrested, charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and released on an appearance ticket.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
