Bath Man Accused of Firing a Shotgun Into Village Home

Police have arrested a Bath man after he allegedly fired a round from a shotgun through the door of a home he was trying to enter illegally in the Steuben County village.

After firing the shot, Patrick Phillips took off from the scene in a stolen car. He was later located on Nash Road in the town of Bath where he crashed the car. The 36-year-old was charged with burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment, all felonies.

After being treated at a hospital for injuries he suffered in the car accident, Phillips was sent back to Steuben County Jail. Additional charges are expected.
