The investigation into a domestic violence incident in the town of Sterling resulted in the arrest of an Auburn woman on a felony charge of criminal contempt.
On Saturday, Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an address for a reported domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, deputies located Tina Goodluck at a residence that belonged to a man. During the investigation, it was discovered that there is an existing full stay-away order of protection in place against Goodluck, preventing her from being at the man’s home. Goodluck was taken into custody and, due to previous criminal contempt convictions within the last five years, Goodluck was charged with the felony.
Goodluck was transported to the Public Safety Building for processing and turned over to the Cayuga County Jail for CAP arraignment. She was sent to Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
