An Auburn woman is facing drug charges in connection with an accident that occurred in the area of Blass and Duck Lake roads in the Town of Conquest.
While investigating the crash at the scene, along with executing a search warrant on the car the following day, it was determined by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office that the passenger, 31-year-old Cassandra Harris, was allegedly in possession of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine pills not prescribed to her. These pills are a Schedule II controlled substance. An arrest warrant was issued for Harris and she was taken into custody on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Harris was turned over to the Cayuga County Jail for processing filling her arrest.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
