An Auburn woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing two people Tuesday night.
When police responded to the area of Seymour and Holly streets in Auburn just before 9 o’clock, they found two women suffering from stab wounds. They advised police that the suspect, Kelli Vroman, fled the scene on foot. When officers arrived at Vroman’s home on 5 Liberty Street to question her, she was allegedly hiding in the attic.
Vroman was charged with two counts of assault and a single count of criminal possession of a weapon.
The stabbing victims were transported to SUNY Upstate Medical University with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the suspect was known to the victims and this appears to have been an isolated incident with no ongoing danger to the public.
Vroman was later transported to Cayuga County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
