An Auburn woman was arrested following a one-car accident in Sennett.
On February 22nd, State Police and the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Grant Avenue Road near Weedsport-Sennett Road for an accident. Upon arrival, deputies determined the driver of the car, Tiffany Skarr, needed medical assistance and called for EMTs to respond.
As Skarr was taken to Auburn Hospital, deputies continued their investigation and determined Skarr was allegedly driving while impaired by drugs. It was also determined that Skarr was driving the car without the owner’s consent.
Skarr was arrested for DWAI-Drugs, Unauthorized Use of a motor vehicle, along with vehicle and traffic offenses. She was issued tickets for Sennett Town Court
The unauthorized use of a motor vehicle offense occurred in the city of Auburn and Skarr was issued an appearance ticket for Auburn City Court.
Skarr is currently at the Cayuga County Jail on unrelated charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
