The investigation into a sexual harassment complaint led to an arrest by the Auburn Police Department.
On June 3rd, at approximately 8:30 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a local gym to speak to a woman regarding sexual harassment. The woman reported that she was driving on Grant Avenue when she noticed a tan 2014 Chevy Tahoe with tinted windows in the lane next to her. While stopped in traffic, she looked over at the Tahoe and could see a man, later identified as Kevin Ostrander, staring at her. As she continued towards Artieral West, the woman said she switched lanes of traffic in an attempt to avoid Ostrander. She said Ostrander also switched lanes and drove alongside her. The woman reported that despite her trying to speed up or slow down, Ostrander remained parallel to her so that their driver-side windows were aligned. It is then alleged that Ostrander rolled his passenger side window down and extended his arm outward towards the complainant as far as he could reach. The woman told police Ostrander was allegedly showing her a picture of his genitalia on his cell phone.
Ostrander was arrested two days later on a misdemeanor charge of public display of offensive sexual material.
