The 22-year-old Auburn man was charged with Criminal Contempt and felony Aggravated Family Offense. He is alleged to have contacted a person with an active order of protection against him while being held at the Cayuga County Jail on unrelated charges. Smith is currently detained at the jail. Back in August, he was charged with the same crimes.
